Bill Assistance - CO

In Colorado, the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program is known as Colorado Works. It is a cash assistance program that helps eligible families with very low incomes become self-sufficient by encouraging job preparation, work and family stabilization. Eligible applicants receive monthly cash assistance payments, help with emergency household expenses, and/or services such as counseling, training and employment assistance. The Colorado Works Program operates in all 64 counties and is delivered locally through each county's department of human or social services.

Energy Resource Center

Energy Resource Center is a non-profit construction company assisting income-qualified families through energy efficiency improvements. Work completed includes insulation, HVAC, hot water heaters, lighting, appliances, air sealing and more.

Colorado Springs Utilities Project COPE provides utilities payment assistance to families and individuals struggling financially due to a personal crisis or emergency, regardless of income.

Weatherization (HEAP)

The Energy Resource Council offers energy audits and improvements to protect families from risks associated with Colorado winters, such as exposure to dangerously low temperatures or carbon monoxide poisoning.

First established by the U.S. Administration on Aging (AoA) in 1988 as a national elder abuse resource center, the NCEA was granted a permanent home at AoA in the 1992 amendments made to Title II of the Older Americans Act.

To facilitate community collaboration of services for the elderly (60+) and at-risk adults in the Pikes Peak Region. The PPEAC will focus on the health and welfare of elder and at-risk adults, in addition to education and awareness of mistreatment in the Pikes Peak region.
